Time continues to march on! There has been significant progress made on the south end of the building. I am very pleased with the look of the new walkway and portico, and I’m anxious to see the final look after the railings, door, lighting and plantings are in. I am so grateful for the grant funding that is allowing this accessibility upgrade to happen.
School is just around the corner. I have several backpacks with basic school supplies in them, donated to the library by the Bremen Union Church. If you are in need, stop by and ask for one.
If you need newspaper for fire starting, moving, or even papier-mache, pop on over! I have quite a few back issues of the Lincoln County News that I would be happy to share.
First Friday Fun, our monthly mixed ages storytime, will be held on Friday, Sept 4. We start at 10:30 with some songs and stories. Afterwards, kids and caregivers can stay and play and socialize together in the big room until noon. This month’s theme is “frogs”.

MAINE’S WINGED WONDERS
A Photographic Journey Through the World of Wild Species on the Wing
Thursday, Sep 10 @ 5:30
Join us as we welcome wildlife photographer and General Falconer Corrie Ann Borges for a captivating photographic journey into the lives of Maine’s winged wild species. Through stunning photography, videos, personal stories, and fascinating natural history, Corrie explores the remarkable world of dragonflies, damselflies, hummingbirds, loons, eagles, owls, bees, hawks, songbirds, and more. The presentation also offers a glimpse into the ancient art of falconry and the lessons Corrie has learned from living and working alongside her Red-tailed Hawk, Hopper. From migration and extraordinary adaptations to survival, behavior, and conservation, Maine’s Winged Wonders celebrates the incredible diversity of life around us and encourages us to slow down, look closer, and reconnect with the wild.
