The program will be led by Eric Snyder, the manager of facilities on Hog Island as well as Audubon’s mainland property on Keene Neck Road in Bremen. Snyder has been working at the Audubon camp for 15 years where he instructs classes in geology, island ecology, astronomy and island history. He has a BA in Geology from Vassar College.
Snyder will be discussing the history of Hog Island with a focus on the National Audubon Society’s association with the island and the current programming and initiatives.
The event is free and appropriate for the whole family.
