Getting Your Gardens Ready for the Winter with Anne Perkins of Headacre Farm at the Bremen Library on Thursday, September 26th at 7:00.
Anne Perkins will discuss the steps you can take this fall to prepare your gardens to winter over well and be prepared for next year’s growing season. She will discuss both flower, shrub, and vegetable garden preparation and cleanup, with tips for encouraging the survival of beneficial insects and other native wildlife that will benefit your gardens and grounds. Recordkeeping and planning for your gardens will also be covered.
Perkins grows award-winning, vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruit at Headacre Farm in Owls Head on land leased from Kerry Altiero the chef/owner of Café Miranda in Rockland.
